Jonathan Wilson became a full-time football writer in 2000 at onefootball.

 

He was football correspondent of the Financial Times for four years and has worked for Sports Illustrated, the Independent, the Sunday Telegraph and the New Statesman.

 

He is currently a columnist for the Guardian and World Soccer and contributes to Unherd.

He was named FSA Football Writer of the Year in 2012, 2017 and 2021 and in 2023 he was awarded an honorary doctorate by the University of Sunderland for his journalism.
