Jonathan Wilson is, with Rob Draper, one of the two presenters of the football history podcast It Was What It Was.

Since 2008, he has been a regular guest on the Guardian’s Football Weekly podcast, which has been named Podcast of the Year 11 times at the FSA Awards. In 2023, he edited the Football Weekly book.

Wilson is also often to be heard on TalkSPORT and the BBC, and the Second Captains and Off the Ball podcasts in Ireland.
He has been a talking head on a range of documentaries, including Messi (BBC), Lionel Messi: Destiny (BBC), Once in a Lifetime: Argentina (Copa 90), Croatia: Defining a Nation (Fifa), and Italia 90: Four Weeks that Changed the World.
